CARLO ROLA / Head of Business & Commercial Operations
Bio:
Carlo Rola is the founder of ARNIA MADE IN ITALY and a visionary entrepreneur committed to combining Italian excellence with sustainable innovation.
With over 30 years of experience in fashion, design, and industrial manufacturing, Carlo has led multidisciplinary teams across Europe and launched award-winning projects in sustainable textiles and circular economy.
In his current role, he coordinates client relations, sales strategy, and institutional partnerships across Africa, the Middle East, and Southern Europe.
His leadership ensures that every project reflects ARNIA’s values: precision, transparency, and social impact.
CARLO ROLA
GIULIO BIANCHI / Technical Director – Agro-Industrial Division
Bio:
Born in Lombardy, Italy, Giulio Bianchi has over 45 years of experience in industrial engineering, project design, and international trade.
He has managed complex industrial setups in Eastern Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Middle East, including soap and detergent factories in Nigeria, food processing plants in Iran, and equipment finance operations across former Soviet countries.
As the former president of CAM Finance S.A. in Lugano, he developed industrial projects with major clients such as Glencore, KAMAZ, and Parmalat, in collaboration with European engineering giants like Mannesmann and Danieli.
Today, Giulio leads the technical design and plant integration process at ARNIA, ensuring each solution is tailored, bankable, and future-ready.
GIULIO BIANCHI
dott. ANGELO MAGGIO / Coordinator – Field Operations & Inclusion
Bio:
Angelo Maggio is a humanist and production specialist with a unique career path that blends social responsibility and industrial organization.
Formerly involved in educational and reintegration programs, he now serves as Coordinator of Operational Inclusion Programs at ARNIA, with a strong focus on workforce development.
He ensures that each ARNIA project integrates local labour through training and mentorship, promoting inclusive job creation, dignity, and shared growth.
Angelo’s work brings real meaning to our projects: machines may produce, but it’s people who deliver value.
ANGELO MAGGIO
dott. ROBERTO PRETO / Expert – Agro-Food Processing & Product Strategy / MSE PhD MBA
Bio:
Roberto Preto is a leading consultant in food technology, agro-processing innovation, and product development.
He has supported projects related to fruit and vegetable transformation, tomato paste, cassava derivatives, and palm oil processing in Sub-Saharan Africa.
With a background in both engineering and agronomy, Roberto ensures that ARNIA’s solutions meet food safety, efficiency, and marketability standards.
His contributions help clients align with export protocols, local consumer trends, and value-added product chains.
Roberto Preto is an Assistant Professor of the Solar and Biomasses Energy Plants and of the Electrical Energetics at the University of Pavia, Italy. His research interest is in electrical energy, energy recovering systems, biomass and energy systems, biogas engineering, gasification and pyrolysis of biomass. He has been working with Ostertrade since 2012 and he is the expert behind the Ostertrade biomass energy system. He's the author of several articles published in international scientific journals
ROBERTO PRETO
CARLO MORANDINI / Expert – Industrial Machinery & Engineering Systems
Bio:
Carlo Morandini is a senior technical advisor specialized in mechanical systems, industrial automation, and factory engineering.
With experience in dozens of agro-processing setups in Europe and Africa, he supervises machinery layout, integration of energy-efficient systems, and adaptation to local conditions.
Carlo is known for his ability to solve complex mechanical problems, optimize production lines, and reduce operational waste.
His knowledge helps ARNIA deliver turnkey projects that are resilient, cost-effective, and scalable.
Carlo, our agricultural consultant, was born on June 8, 1960 in a family of cattle growers and farmers. He completed his high school studies at the Liceo Sceintifico Aleardo Aleardi Verona and graduated in Engineering at the University of Pisa.
He was a professional rally driver for Lancia at the Italian and European championships. As an expert cattle grower and farmer he was active in Argentina, Ireland, Hungary and Italy, where he is living and working at the moment, while also providing expertise to our Nigerian clients.
He speaks Italian, English, French, Spanish and Hungarian.
