FASHION STARTUP LAB Problem solving ARNIA TEXTILE FASHION Italian Sustainable Luxury

What you get in the Fashion Startup Lab

A step-by-step method from concept to first production

The Fashion Startup Lab is built around a structured workflow:

  1. Initial alignment and constraints (what is realistic for Made in Italy)
  2. Feasibility and cost logic (a “GO / STOP” mindset)
  3. Prototypes and technical development
  4. Small-batch production and quality control

If your main goal is simply “a quote”, this is not the right starting point. If your goal is a collection that ships—with a plan—you are in the right place.

FAQ (short)

Is the Fashion Startup Lab B2C?

No. ARNIA works primarily B2B with fashion brands and professionals.

Can I claim my final product is “certified” if the fabric is certified?

It depends on chain of custody and the brand’s own certification status. For a practical overview, see the Sustainability practical guide.

What should I prepare before reaching out?

Share your product type & moodboard, target market, intended retail price range, estimated quantities, desired timing, and any required standards. Then start with the First Call onboarding.

Fashion Startup Lab

Build a collection, through the support of our Fashion Startup Lab, that can actually be produced in Italy—without guesswork, unrealistic budgets, or vague sustainability claims.

ARNIA Textile Fashion is a Made in Italy social cooperative based in the Lombardy textile district (Milan–Como–Varese). We work B2B with fashion brands—especially founders and small teams—who need a reliable partner for luxury fabrics, cut & sew, and a structured method that reduces risk.

Fashion Startup Lab: who it’s for

Fashion startup founders who need a production reality check

If you are building a brand and you want Made in Italy results, you typically need:

  • A feasibility-first approach (to avoid prototypes that can’t be sold profitably)
  • A low-MOQ production path for small batches (starting from 20+ pieces, depending on product)
  • A partner that can manage fabric, development, and delivery with documentation you can trust

The Fashion Startup Lab approach also fits brands who want to test a capsule drop with strict control over time, cost, and quality.

TEXTILE COLLECTIONS

Seasonal Made in Italy fabric proposals for brands looking for a distinctive textile identity, including jacquards, fil coupé, embroidery, devoré, plissé, prints and special surface effects.

Article availability, repeatability, technical MOQ and production timing are confirmed according to the individual fabric and project.

Sustainability, Traceability & Brand Reputation

ARNIA supports certified material pathways, order- and lot-specific traceability, supply-chain due diligence and project-specific compliance documentation.

Certification and marketing claims depend on the selected material, article, production lot, technical MOQ, Chain of Custody and applicable standard.

A certified upstream fabric does not automatically make the finished garment or the entire collection certified.

TEXTILE SOURCING

We can work from a creative brief, physical swatch, archive reference or image to identify, adapt or develop a technically realistic textile route.

FABRIC STOCK SUPPORTED

Selected running, stock-supported and greige bases may support sampling, colour trials, print trials and selected small-batch projects, subject to current availability and technical validation.

CUT & SEW SERVICES

From prototype to capsule production, ARNIA coordinates fabric, pattern and technical inputs, sampling, industrialisation, quality control and production oversight.

Projects may start from 20 pieces per style, subject to product category and technical feasibility.

Final pricing and timing are confirmed only after technical validation and approval of a repeatable prototype and validated BOM.

Ready to Define the Most Realistic Route?

Complete the Project Brief with the product category, expected quantities or metres, current development stage, target timing, price architecture and any certification, traceability or compliance requirements.

ARNIA will review the information and identify the most appropriate next step for your collection.

Availability, technical feasibility, timing, pricing and certification pathways are confirmed project by project after review.
