Get a 48Hour Fabric Shortlist & Sampling Plan

A practical 48hour Fabric Shortlist , risk-controlled way to launch—on time, error-free, and Made in Italy [short Northern-Italy supply chain (Como–Varese–Milan)]

Deadlines are real. Budgets have edges. Quality can’t slip. If you’re launching a collection—or unblocking a stalled project—you need a clear path, not guesses. Below is our precise, professional workflow to help you start without missteps.

0) Before we start: confidentiality & scope (mandatory)

We protect your know-how and our suppliers’ data through two documents, signed before any operational step:

  • Mutual NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) — purpose-limited data sharing, role-based access, selective disclosure of supplier identities.

  • Collaboration Agreement — scope of work, deliverables and timelines, QA criteria, sampling & courier terms, compliance responsibilities, right-to-audit, change control.

Only after NDA + Agreement + complete brief do we proceed with your 48Hour Fabric Shortlist deliverable.

1) Your Project Manager (single point of contact)

An assigned Project Manager coordinates the end-to-end workflow: brief intake, risk & compliance checklist, 48-hour deliverables, and go-forward steps. The PM enforces control over speed, keeps stakeholders aligned, and prevents late-stage surprises.

2) What you receive with 48Hour Fabric Shortlist (after NDA + Agreement + brief)

  • 3–5 fabric options curated to your brief (composition, handfeel, relevant certifications where applicable)

  • MOQs & lead times you can plan against. Typical indicative ranges: solids 200–600 m, novelties 100–300 m, knits 150–400 m. Final MOQs/lead times depend on supplier capacity and finishing windows.

  • A sampling plan mapping Proto → Pre-series → First order, aligned with your commercial calendar

  • Commercial terms: sampling fees & courier quoted upfront. Incoterms and payment terms are defined in the Collaboration Agreement.

Format: concise PDF summary + option sheets.
Outcome: fewer detours, less rework, and a clean runway from swatch to shipment.

3) How to brief us (15 minutes)

Share essentials so we can be precise:

  • Category & end use; target hand/weight/drape; color range

  • Performance needs (e.g., colorfastness, pilling, shrinkage)

  • MOQs/budget and timing (swatch, lab-dip, bulk windows)

  • Compliance requests (e.g., REACH alignment, certified options where applicable)

Your PM will confirm priorities and constraints before building the plan.

4) Scope of support (what ARNIA TEXTILE FASHION actually does)

  • B2B fabric sourcing & development (solids/novelties), incl. stock-supported bases for faster sampling

  • Sampling → industrialization → production oversight, supplier coordination and Cut & Sew in small/medium series

  • Quality assurance: control specs & tolerances; in-process and final inspections with photo reports

  • Compliance & laboratory testing on request (e.g., REACH / brand RSL-MRSL alignment; relevant EN/ISO tests)

  • Per-lot traceability datasets (from fiber to finishing/printing) to support audits and claims

  • Certified options (e.g., GOTS/GRS/FSC/ECOVERO™) where applicable; Chain-of-Custody rules apply to any external claims

5) Quality & compliance that prevent costly returns

In luxury, quality is a system, not a single inspection. We define acceptance criteria in writing and, where relevant, plan:

  • AQL sampling (inbound/outbound)

  • Lab tests for fabrics/garments (e.g., colorfastness, pilling, dimensional stability, seam slippage, tensile/tear)

  • Labeling (fibers, care, origin) aligned to the sale market

  • Substances: adherence to REACH and client RSL/MRSL expectations

6) Samples & shipping (only after green-light)

After you approve the shortlist & plan, we confirm:

  • Sampling quantities & costs, courier method and lab-dips/strike-offs where relevant

  • Addresses, packaging, and delivery windows
    Only then do samples ship.

7) Timelines & risks (indicative)

A short, Northern-Italy chain enables agility and control. Typical windows (indicative, subject to capacity/material):

  • Swatches: 2–4 weeks

  • Proto 1: 2–3 weeks → silhouette & hand

  • Proto 2 / Pre-series: 2–3 weeks → construction & industrial validation (+ tests)

  • Production: 4–8 weeks depending on complexity/capacity

Common risks: lab-dip/strike-off delays, pre-series non-conformities (shrinkage, bleeding), capacity constraints on small-lot Cut & Sew. We plan quality gates and plan-B options when needed.

8) Sustainability, certifications & traceability (how we manage claims)

  • We can provide certified materials where applicable and per-lot traceability datasets.

  • Chain-of-Custody applies: if a brand is not certified, the final product cannot be claimed as certified, even if upstream fabrics are.

  • Some standards require technical minimums and segregation protocols; we’ll advise as relevant.

  • We support REACH and brand RSL/MRSL alignment; lab testing can be arranged on request.

9) What we don’t do (to keep you safe)

  • We don’t disclose full supplier identities before contractually defined stages.

  • We don’t publish certification claims without the proper Chain-of-Custody.

  • We don’t skip QA gates to “go faster”.

  • We don’t promise unrealistic MOQs/lead times; we present viable alternatives.

Supplier identities are disclosed at contractually defined milestones under NDA and audit conditions.
